diatomic clock

Diatomic clock is the newest development in time-keeping. Thousands (ok, a few hundred) cells move towards an unseen food source, revealing the current time in the process. The cells will change color as they age, die and eventually be reborn.

With the above links, you can launch the clock as an applet in your browser or as a standalone application via java webstart.

Left click with the mouse to disrupt the cells' time-keeping (why would you do that!). Right click to add more cells (careful, the unseen food source is cpu cycles). Press 't' to switch between 12 and 24 hour display.

Diatomic clock is built with processing.
